The annual Chairman’s Challenge was held at Margate Masonic Centre on April 6th.
Hosted by WBro Jim Mason, this is a chance for all the lodges in Area 8 to pit their wits against other local lodges for this prestigious trophy. Being the third time it has been contested for, bath Union Lodge and Porta Maris were keen to take the spoils for a second time
The Royal navy team comprised Bro Stephen McInerney, Bro Neil Cherry, Bro Paddy Clarke and our own WM Nigel Mann. The team was bolstered by a couple of guests and the challenge was on.
In fairness, Royal Navy secured the victory by the narrowest of margins with the difference being “the Seas of the world” and our own nautical maestro coming up trumps.
