A few weeks ago, two members of Royal Navy lodge joined the East Kent Light Blue Brothers in sampling the wonderful sport of gliding. The event proved so popular that the EKLBB created a second follow up event.
Being inspired by the stories, two other members of the lodge hastily signed up for the next event. Bro John Salkeld and one of our senior members WBro David Box
David, who has been a member of Royal Navy lodge since 1987 and is just approaching his 80th Birthday decided that this was his chance to try out this sport for the first time.
Supported by members of the lodge, he described the flight as “once in a lifetime” and a thoroughly exhilarating experience. Well done David! an inspiration to us all!
