Back in the summer of 2019, Fthr John Taylor of Stella Maris lodge thought it was a great idea to organise a New Year’s Day swim in aid of the 2025 Festival. Enlisting our very own Paul McGuirk, they set about to make it an event that all the Thanet lodges could participate in. Whilst the tide was a long way out, thankfully, the weather was mild. A huge thank you also goes to Eli Thompson (Reculver’s lodge) of Olby’s Soul Café for providing the changing facilities and refreshments on the day.
Together we raised over £3000 towards the Masonic charitable foundation and the 2025 festival.
