Welcome our New Worshipful Master.

They say the best things are worth waiting for and in WBro Peter Rodd that will be no exception.

Originally planned for January 2021, Peter has now been installed into the role of Master of the Royal Navy lodge No 429 for the 2022 year.   The ceremony was witnessed by our own Provincial Grand master and many highly distinguished officers of the Province of East Kent.

For those without masonic knowledge, each lodge will select a member each year to preside over the lodge as Master.   The role only lasts a year, but there are several officers that you will serve on your way to the top role.

Peter has been busy planning his year and has been working with his colleagues to ensure that there are several family and social events through the year.

On the calendar already are the usual events such as the Annual Quiz evenings against our neighbouring lodges in February and October.    July see’s the annual Outhwaite golf tournament on the Par 3 course at North Foreland in Broadstairs and our Ladies night is set for November the 5th.

In addition, Peter is arranging an overseas trip to Groningen in Holland where we will be visiting a lodge there.   Whilst there, a number of the members and guests will be climbing what is thought to be the tallest freestanding tower in the world (37 meters or 121 feet tall)
